Most of the common questions people have will be answered below but if you cannot find an answer to a question then feel free to drop us an email and we'll get right back to you.
-
What Level Of Experience Are The Workouts Aimed At?We have clients who are complete beginners and have never worked out before and we have clients who are have been training for 10 years plus. We have had clients in their 20s and clients in their 70s. Wherever you are in your fitness journey, DDFitness is a welcoming place for all. Every session we provide alternative options for the movements. These will work you in a similar way and also progress you to the full movements over time.
-
Do I Need To Train In A Gym?No. Whilst having access to a gym and the equipment it holds will give you a wider range of options when it comes to the movements, it is not necessary. All main lifts and conditioning sessions each day have a Dumbbell and Bodyweight only option. You can follow the plan with nothing but your workout outfit and a pair of trainers! Having said that, if you do have access to weights and a piece of cardio equipment (rower/bike etc) it will allow you to gain more fitness and strength over time.
-
How Long Do The Workouts Take? Our sessions are usually between 45 and 60 minutes in length. The warm-ups are usually 5-10 minutes in length and the main bulk of the session around 30-45 minutes. Every day we also post optional accessory work and stretching for if you do have more time. Our goal is to have the workout completed in an hour or less.
-
What If I Can't Do All Of The Movements? We always provide a scaled movement suggestions for every single session. For example, if you cannot do pull-ups then we would suggest ring rows, banded pull-ups, bent over rows, etc. There is always a way to change a movement to meet your needs and we provide options for those newer to exercise. We also provide a bodyweight only option for if you have no equipment at all.
-
What Equipment Do I Need? Most daily workouts can be done with a barbell, dumbbells and a pull-up bar. When workouts do require more unique and/or expensive pieces of gear such as a rower or bike, etc...we always provide substitutions for people who do not have access to such equipment. No matter what, we’ve got you covered. Every workout will also have a 'bodyweight only' option as well. Whilst having access to more equipment will make the workouts more varied, limited equipment does not mean limited fitness.
-
Does Everyone Start At The Same Point In The Plan?Yes. We have found that creating a community where everyone has the same workout on the same day builds a good sense of camaraderie and clients can discuss the highs (and lows!) of each day. This also can provide enthusiasm to complete the workout when you know others are doing so too.
-
Is There A Minimum Sign Up Period? You get a 14-day free trial to see if our online programming is right for you. You may cancel during this time and you will not be charged at all. After this trial if you wish to continue you will be billed monthly and this is the minimum commitment. You can cancel at any time and will continue to receive the programming up to the next billing cycle. We cannot offer any refunds once the billing cycle has started.
-
Do The Coaches Follow The Same Programme?Yes! We would only let others use our programming if we felt it was good enough for ourselves as well. So David and the team regularly complete the exact same workouts and post their scores in the community.
